Desktop License (Client)

Desktop License

In order to use an Optimo font on workstation for the creation, production, or editing of printed and/or static digital documents you must purchase a Desktop License. The Desktop License authorizes the installation of the font on a pre- determined number of computers (users) and at a predetermined number of locations, which are specified during the purchase. This license is available for purchase directly from our website.

License Sharing

Our Desktop Licenses are not intended to be shared by multiple companies (i.e. a designer and his or her client) or with third parties. Our standard license allows for a font to be installed on five computers, all of which must be owned by the end user’s company and located in the same premises. Typically, graphic de- signers or agencies will buy the license (end user), not their clients. If a designer were to sell a template that requires an Optimo font, then their client would have to purchase their own license. If an agency hires a freelance graphic designer or an external contractor, for a project that uses an Optimo font, each entity has to buy a license. Web and ePub Licenses are valid for a specific project (a web domain (URL), a title, or a publication). Please keep in mind that our licenses are not transferable.
